Pioneers settle for Third Place in 2002 Penticton Tournament

Despite three shutout victories by identical 1-0 scores, the Pioneers had to settle for third place in a very competitive Over 50 division at the Penticton tournament.

A disappointing 3-2 loss in the second game against Penticton condemned the Pioneers to the consolation final, which just happened to be against Cliff Avenue. A late goal by Ben pushed Cliff over the edge, as the Pioneers made it three in a row against their arch rivals.

All in all, a satisfying tournament for the Pioneers.
