The year started off just as it ended, with a narrow 2-1 loss to BC Transit.

However, this was a different Transit team than the one the Pioneers faced on December 7th. The closure of most of the playing fields in the Lower Mainland meant that Transit opted to recruit a number of Cliff Avenue players, giving them an All-Star look.

Nevertheless, the game was an evenly fought game, with Transit scoring the only goal of the first half.

Midway through the secong half, Transit increased their lead with a fine strike from over 20 yards out.

The Pioneers pulled a goal back when Graham Mason scored from a penalty shot, but were unable to find the tying goal.
